The Role
The Blaster will assist the site by delivering products, blasting at shot service accounts, maintaining inventory, maintain and operate distribution equipment which includes MMU's and actively seek opportunities at customers' site where Orica could sell services. Promote the organization through contact with the customer in a safe, professional and efficient manner.
Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Blaster License.
CDL License with Hazmat and Tank endorsement preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years blasting experience including demonstrated blasting talent in local market area geographic conditions.
Good knowledge of mining, quarry and construction regulations which pertains to blasting.
Some computer skills including proficient use of Blast Report Database.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
