Clinic Medical Assistant

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Personal
Experience in Ambulatory Care Clinics
Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
