Practice Supervisor

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Practice Supervisor assists the Manager in administering clinic practices, both operationally and fiscally. He/she assists the scheduler in establishing work schedules and assignments for staff. He/she will assist in the planning, implementing and adminstering personnel training and coordination of duties. The Practice Supervisor will monitor and ensure compliance between departments, physicians, staff, and regulatory guidelines. He/she will assist in directing, supervising, and evaluating work activities of staff and monitor staff attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Associates Degree, Bachelor Degree, Nursing Degree or other licensed medical professional background.
Bachelors degree in a healthcare related discipline preferred.
Five years of healthcare or business experience required, of which at least three years have been in a supervisory, managerial or charge person role.
Leadership experience in a complex medical office or relevant setting.
Basic proficiency in computer skills: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Meditech, and eClinicalWorks experience helpful, but not required.
Some knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and billing, Medicare, and other regulatory compliance.
Certification as appropriate such as CPR by the American Heart Association.

Demonstrated ability to manage both clinicians and non-clinicians.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
